Welcome to Issue 2 of Year 15 of Woodcarver Online Magazine.

Hello carving friends -

Today was our first +70 degree day in way too many months. We in the northern half of this planet will soon be involved in yard work and gardening, and just being outside after three or four months of winter captivity. It is the time of rebirth, but also presents a challenge to us: how to do all that outside stuff and still find time for carving. It's something you need to work at, and I will be working hard to find carving time in the spring and summer ahead.

In this issue:

A vist to Saint-Jean-Port-Joli - Mike Bloomquist has been distracted of late by a wooden thing with wings and a prop, but with this issue returns to the pages of WOM to tell us about a visit to Saint-Jean-Port-Joli.

It's yet ANOTHER contest - Mike notes that somewhere in his article is an otherwise great carving suffering from insufficient subject matter research. Be the first to describe the result via an email message to womeditor AT comcast.net and you'll received one of the new WOM/W3E/Woodcarver List mugs I just ordered from CafePress.com/woodcarving.

Pyrograffiti - Kathleen Manendez also returns with another update of pyrography news from around the world
