Tebchok 57

Sampa Lhundup / Tebchok 57
A traditional Tibetan Lamas table, or tebchok. It has a mahogany top and basswood sides. It is a folding table (see later photo). The front panel features a garuda flanked by two dragons. On the sides are lotus blossoms. Finished with Danish oil. The garuda symbolizes wisdom and the dragons symbolize gentle power. Lotuses are symbols of purity. This piece took about 20 days to carve.
