The Caricature Carvers of America will present a special selection of woodcarvings for auction on eBay in late April. These signed original carvings were created by CCA members especially for this auction. The carvings will be sold as individual lots, in groups of five or six pieces per week. The first group will be listed Sunday evening, April 23, 2006, and will close one week later. Subsequent groups will be listed weekly with the final six carvings going on the block Sunday, May 14, 2006.
All proceeds from this auction will be used in our effort to promote the art of caricature carving. Individual CCA members will not profit from this sale. This will be our second eBay auction. The results of our 2004 sale were overwhelming. We certainly appreciate the support that we received from the carving and collecting fraternity for that sale. Proceeds from that sale have supported our web site and our CCA Merit ribbon program and have helped immensely in the presentation of our annual competition held at Dollywood.
