Welcome to Issue 3 of Year 14 of Woodcarver Online Magazine. Hello carving friends - We've got a great issue for you here - starting with the 2009 International Woodcarvers Congress. You'll find a massive photo gallery of the 2009 winners, along with galleries of casual photos taken during Congress week. Watch for the 2010 Congress report after the first of the new year. This issue also contains the announcement of the Second WOM Mail-in Carving Contest. For this contest, you can carve anything you want, as long as it fits in an Altoids Mint tin. Also in this issue: Notes From The Net Returns Pete LeClair's Branden "Ol' Don's" Drawing Table - "The Doctor " Events, Happenin's and Going's-on A number of readers have remarked on the absence of a May/June issue of WOM. Unfortunately, personal circumstances, including the demands of a new day job, resulted in the very difficult decision to forgo the May/June issue. With the July/August issue, however, we are back on track and expect to maintain a regular bimonthly publishing schedule going forward. The patience of our readers is greatly appreciated.
