Carv-Fest

Over 50 - 1-Day workshops! Classes include everything from caricatures, bark houses, relief, animals, drawing, realistic figures, spirits, chip carving, Scandinavian style, Santa carving and more! They are just $50 each (materials extra). This year we've added on-site camping for just $25 per day!!! There will also be vendors selling tools, wood and supplies……including Carving Magazine, Staubai Tools, WoodcarversWarehouse.com, The Woodcraft Shop, Krantz Wood Sales, Dunkle Knives and sharpening, T- Shirt Depot….

2nd Annual Indiana Woodcarvers Summer Camp

August 18-21, 2010

Pla-Mor Campground, US Highway 6, Bremen, IN

Woodcarving open to all woodcarvers & all levels of experience.  Children welcome at many tables.  More than 25 instructors from across the USA, including world champion and national champion carvers!  Many free classes with purchase of wood (projects range $3 to $35).  Some instructors will charge a seat fee.  Open platform...sit with one teacher for 4 hours and move on to another, or spend all 4 days with the same instructor. Crafts for non-carvers. Vendors supplying knives, books, tools & T-Shirts & wood. Great family campground, kids & pets are welcome, special rates for woodcarvers on event days. Music, Swimming, Fishing, Playground, Batting Cage, Mini-Golf, Driving Range, SnackBar and Gameroom, Camp Store, and lots of woodcarving!

One time registration fee per carver, covers all four days and parking: $15 in advance or $20 at the door.    Outdoor space available free for new carving instructors. (Bring your own canopies.)

2010 Annual CCA Seminar

August 27, 28 and 29th

Converse, IN

The Caricature Carvers of America will offer their immensely popular fall seminar in 2010 in Converse, IN. The format will be similar to that used in previous years. The 3-Day seminar will be offered as three, 1-day sessions. Students will carve with each instructor for one day. Total enrollment will be limited to 39 students.

Annual Utah Valley Wood Sculpture Show

September 24 (11am to 6pm) and September 25 (9am to 4pm), 2010

Provo Library at Academy Square (third floor), University Avenue, Provo, Utah

Project submission (no public viewing) will be September 23, 10 am to 6 pm. Free underground parking is available.  There will be sales, demos, and classes.  This show is a juried show and includes woodcarving, wood burning, engraving, intarsia, gourd carving, egg shell carving, relief carving and flint knapping.
