"Bill's Surprise"

As part of his considerable contribution to the Virtual Porch Project , Phil Wylie carved this caricature of the WWWoodc@rver Mailing List owner, Bill Judt. The word is that this is very close to an actual portrait of Bill. Even the workbench is identical to the one he has in his shop, probably because Phil took the time to examine plans, in an article for Chip Chats magazine, of a Relief Carving Workbench that Bill wrote about.

This photo is featured on the "front cover" of this month's issue because the Virtual Porch made its debut this month, and is all the talk of the list and various woodcarving newsletters. Hope you like it :-)
