John Iverson is a professional fishing
guide in Alaska, and couldn't make the trip to the GPO. In his
place John donated a monster salmon. Deno Simpson (left) and Merle
Orlowski prepare the little fella for roasting. (M. Moore)

Merle and Dino Simpson spent several hours out in the hot sun
tending the fish and fire. (M. Kelley)
Just a part of the large number of
people that gathered to enjoy the pig, salmon and fixin's. (M.

The official GPO hat - not available
in any store! (M. Moore)
'Ol Don Burgdorf couldn't make it to
the GPO, so he provided this pattern and roughouts for the GPO
carving contest. Look for another of Ol' Don's patterns in this
issue of the E-zine. (M. Moore)
Sunday morning after the GPO was a
time to collect Ol' Don's pig roughout and say "Good Bye's."
Some folks had left late Saturday or early Sunday, but the carvers
that were around Sunday morning paused for this group photo.
