An Invitation to Participate
Carvers everywhere are invited to participate in the National Caricature Carving Competition which will be held Sept. 26 thru Nov. 1, 2003 in Dollywood, located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The competition is open to all interested caricature carvers. There is no entry fee to participate in the competition.
Ribbons and cash prizes totaling over $2,500.00 will be awarded in 10 individual categories, plus Best-of-Show, 2nd Best-of-Show, 3rd Best-of-Show, and People's Choice.

The CCA will also host a 3-day carving seminar in conjunction with their annual business meeting and the competition. This seminar, taught by three of the Caricature Carvers of America's premiere members, will be held in conjunction with the CCA National Caricature Carving Competition and Exhibit at Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Seminars will run from Sunday September 28 through Tuesday Sept. 31, 2003. Students will carve one day each with Marv Kaisersatt, Gerald Sears, and Dave Stetson. Cost is $160 plus blanks. The seminar fee includes daily lunches and admission to Dollywood.
A $25 discount is available to those who submit
payment of $135 before August 1, 2003. Class size will be limited
to 12-13 students per instructor. Enrollees will receive written
confirmation and a list of area motels and campgrounds. Payment

Dollywood is located in Pigeon Forge, TN, about 30 miles SE of
Knoxville. Historic Gatlinburg, TN and the Great Smoky Mountain
National Park are just a few miles away.
