Welcome to Volume 7 Issue 6 of Woodcarver Online Magazine, the on-line magazine for and by woodcarvers, now in it's seventh year of service.

On behalf of all the contributors to and sponsors of WOM, I extent to you best wishes for the coming holiday season.

I visited the Dayton Carvers Guild Artistry in Wood show this past Sunday and had a wonderful time. The Dayton Carvers put on a well organized show, and it is well worth the trip if you are within a days drive of Dayton. Mark your calendar for next year!

I was able to spend a bit of time with a lot of old friends, including long-time WOM contributor "Ol' Don" Burgdorf, and Larry "Big Dog" Yudis. (Larry and Carol are the Co-chairs of the Congress show, coverage of which is the feature article in this issue of WOM.

CCA member Dave Sabol won Best of Show for his Santa carving The Last Visit. (featured in the current issue of Carving Magazine. Other CCA members in attendance included newest member Jack A. Williams, Tom Brown, and Harley Schmitgen.
