The first annual Suwanee River Woodcarvers
Roundup in Florida will be held Thrusday, March 17 through Sunday,
March 20, 2005. This is an unstructured, no pressure, carefree
carving event with very few guidelines. No matter what your age,
if you already carve, would like to improve your skills, or would
like to learn how, come for a few quiet days of wood carvers getting
together to have a great time cutting up!!!
Carving classes Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The only
instructional cost would be for materials needed for the workshops.
Non carving visitors are welcome at anytime during the Roundup.
Donations accepted at the door to cover pavilion rental costs.
This Roundup will be held at the Manatee Springs State Park, 11650
N.W. 115th St., Chiefland, FL 32626. To Make reservation for camping/RVs
at the park call Reserve America at 1-800-326-3521 or go online
at www.floridastateparks.org. Basic campsite fee with hookups
$16.
Directions: From I-75S go W on 27 to Williston. Take Alt27 to
Chiefland, go N on 19, turn left on 320 to Manatee Springs. From
I-75N go W on 26 to Trenton. Take 129S to Chiefland, go N on 19,
turn left on 320 to Manatee Springs.
