The Conewago Carvers Club

13th annual Carving and Wildlife Art Show

Donation $3.00, children under 12 free.  The cafeteria within the facility will be open during show hours.  There is free parking and the building is handicapped accessible. 

Guest artist will be Vic Hood.  Vic is a well-known carving instructor, specializing in carving human busts for which he has won many awards.  His most treasured honor was to be selected to create a Christmas Ornament for the White House in 2001.  He has instructed many workshops at the East Berlin Community Center.

Annual Show and Competition

Saturday October 22, 2005

Lexington, North Carolina

The Show is held in conjunction with the Lexington BBQ Festival, held to celebrate Lexington's pork delicacy and all its local talent. On average over the festival attracts crowds of 100,000+, and has something for every member of the family to enjoy. There will be carving demonstrations, a hospitality suite for carvers and their families to relax , and refreshments available.

Carvings will be accepted in 24 categories, with each category divided into painted and natural categories. 3 Divisions are presented: Novice, Intermediate, and Open, based on the carvers' past experience and show winnings.
