the home page of woodcarver Matt Kelley. Here you will see:

Many of my carvings are some variety of in-the-round
carciature, although since taking several classes in traditional
carving techniques with Ivan Whillock, I am also working on more
realistic carvings.
Most of my work is done in basswood, although
I have a particular fondness for carving cottonwood bark. Many
of my exchange pieces are carved in that interesting material.
Although I do a limited number of commissions,
the majority of my carvings are sent as gifts or remain in my
personal collection.
