The World Wide Woodcarver Exchanges

The World Wide Woodc@rver Exchanges (W3E) are an ongo­ing series of carv­ing exchanges. There is no fee charged, but you must be a mem­ber of the Wood­carv­er List­serve, the Wood­carv­er List Face­book group, Knot­ty Wood Porch, ASA List, Fishcarver2, Wood Carv­ing Fun List, Knot­holes List, the W3E-WOM News List or receive approval from the Exchange Man­ag­er.  (Vis­it the Resource Files/Electronic Lists page for more infor­ma­tion about the Lists.)

“Secret Pal” exchange

In the six­ty-sev­en Secret Pal ses­sions to date, 2,320 par­tic­i­pants in the US, Cana­da, Scot­land and Aus­tralia each sent a carv­ing (or two) to a “Secret Pal.”

Friendship Cane exchange

Groups of 8 cavers exchange cane seg­ments each month for 8 months.

Friendship Cane Segment Round-robin

Groups of four carve 1/4 of a seg­ment, then pass it on. Short term, lots of fun.

Bottle Stopper Exchange

Carve and exchange six bot­tle stop­pers in pair-wise sched­ule, one a month for six months.

Golf Ball Exchange

Carve and exchange six sol­id core golf­balls in a pair-wise sched­ule, one a month for six months.

Spoon Exchange

Carve and exchange six carved spoons in a pair-wise sched­ule, one every month for 6 months.

Pin Exchange

Par­tic­i­pants exchange carved pins in a wide vari­ety of themes: San­tas, flow­ers, ani­mals, birds, etc. Exchanges are on a pair-wise schedule.

Santa Exchange

Carve a San­ta, reg­is­ter, and you’ll be matched up to exchange San­ta’s with oth­er carvers. Ongo­ing exchange, year around.

Holiday Season Ornament Exchange

Carve/pyro a hang­ing orna­ment, shelf sit­ter or more, one every three months.

4 By 4 Round Robin Exchange

Carve a golf ball, pin, spoon and cane seg­ment, one each month for four months
