The World Wide Woodcarver Exchanges
The World Wide Woodc@rver Exchanges (W3E) are an ongoing series of carving exchanges. There is no fee charged, but you must be a member of the Woodcarver Listserve, the Woodcarver List Facebook group, Knotty Wood Porch, ASA List, Fishcarver2, Wood Carving Fun List, Knotholes List, the W3E-WOM News List or receive approval from the Exchange Manager. “Secret Pal” exchange
In the sixty-seven Secret Pal sessions to date, 2,320 participants in the US, Canada, Scotland and Australia each sent a carving (or two) to a “Secret Pal.”
Friendship Cane exchange
Groups of 8 cavers exchange cane segments each month for 8 months.
Friendship Cane Segment Round-robin
Groups of four carve 1/4 of a segment, then pass it on. Short term, lots of fun.
Bottle Stopper Exchange
Carve and exchange six bottle stoppers in pair-wise schedule, one a month for six months.
Golf Ball Exchange
Carve and exchange six solid core golfballs in a pair-wise schedule, one a month for six months.
Spoon Exchange
Carve and exchange six carved spoons in a pair-wise schedule, one every month for 6 months.
Participants exchange carved pins in a wide variety of themes: Santas, flowers, animals, birds, etc. Exchanges are on a pair-wise schedule.
Santa Exchange
Carve a Santa, register, and you’ll be matched up to exchange Santa’s with other carvers. Ongoing exchange, year around.
Holiday Season Ornament Exchange
Carve/pyro a hanging ornament, shelf sitter or more, one every three months.
Carve a golf ball, pin, spoon and cane segment, one each month for four months
